The Context

A proof-of-concept, not just a project

Meditree launched in 2023, not because no one else was doing this, but to prove a point. The SEO industry runs almost entirely on keyword research: volume, difficulty, competition scores, everyone chasing the same numbers from the same tools.

The question worth answering was what happens when all of that gets thrown out, and a platform gets built purely around how people actually think and search. Meditree became the test case, a real marketplace, in a real niche, built from day one without a single keyword tool.

Meditree launched in 2023 as South Africa's first dedicated marketplace for buying and selling medical equipment. No competitor was doing this well online.
The Problem

A new platform in a niche no one was targeting

No content strategy. No blog. No SEO foundation. Healthcare professionals searching for used equipment, pricing guidance, or platform comparisons found nothing.

No content or SEO strategy. The platform existed. Searchers could not find it.

No intent-driven content. Healthcare buyers search with specific problems. None were being answered.

Zero AI search presence. No position in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews.

Healthcare professionals were searching. The platform just wasn't showing up.
The Method

Human-led, AI-executed

Every topic was sourced from where real intent lives: Reddit threads, forum discussions, People Also Ask, and actual queries coming in from email and social. If a real person hadn't asked it, it didn't get written.

Step 01
Intent Sourcing
No keyword tools
Every topic pulled from Reddit, forum questions, People Also Ask, and real user queries from email and social.
Step 02
The Manual Brief
Before AI touches anything
Every piece of content required a detailed brief first: competitor gaps, PAA integration, citations, content structure, and how LLMs interpret the query.
Step 03
AI Execution Only
Human-briefed, AI-written
AI was used only to execute the brief, not to ideate, research, or decide. This prevented shallow content and kept every article technically grounded.
