Built on intent. Cited by AI. Not a single keyword researched.
Meditree is a personal venture and a genuine proof-of-concept: can a brand dominate organic search and get cited by ChatGPT without a single keyword tool? The answer turned out to be yes, and then some.
A proof-of-concept, not just a project
Meditree launched in 2023, not because no one else was doing this, but to prove a point. The SEO industry runs almost entirely on keyword research: volume, difficulty, competition scores, everyone chasing the same numbers from the same tools.
The question worth answering was what happens when all of that gets thrown out, and a platform gets built purely around how people actually think and search. Meditree became the test case, a real marketplace, in a real niche, built from day one without a single keyword tool.
A new platform in a niche no one was targeting
No content strategy. No blog. No SEO foundation. Healthcare professionals searching for used equipment, pricing guidance, or platform comparisons found nothing.
No content or SEO strategy. The platform existed. Searchers could not find it.
No intent-driven content. Healthcare buyers search with specific problems. None were being answered.
Zero AI search presence. No position in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews.
Human-led, AI-executed
Every topic was sourced from where real intent lives: Reddit threads, forum discussions, People Also Ask, and actual queries coming in from email and social. If a real person hadn't asked it, it didn't get written.
Full Year 2024 vs Full Year 2025
Organic sessions more than doubled, from 15,194 to 32,805 (+115.91%). Engaged sessions grew 183.39%. Time on page nearly doubled. Events per session grew 153.94%.
The engagement rate reached 77.38%, up 31.25% year over year. Users were 134% more likely to interact than the previous year. These aren't just traffic numbers, they're signals of intent matching: people finding exactly what they were looking for.
Cited by ChatGPT as the #1 recommendation in its category
Appearing in Google AI Overviews for category and brand queries. Recommended by ChatGPT when people ask where to sell medical equipment in South Africa. Not a single keyword tool was used to get there.
